Tutorial Week 11 - XML


1. Similarities and differences between HTML and XML.

Differences
  • HTML is a static language while XML is not a static language.
  • Due to this, HTML can only be used to display data, while XML is designed to transport and save data.
Similarities
  • Both are programming language that runs on a browser.


2. Your opinion on the future of XML. Justify your answer.
  • XML can be used as a separate language.
  • If you want to use XML, not necessary to use with HTML. But if you want to use HTML, it is okay to use it with XML.
  • It is better if in the future, XML can be a standalone language, as when it does not used with HTML, or XSL file, it can still run on the browser with a correct way.
  • XML is good in transfer data, it will make a good language in the future.
